Milwaukee Area Dentist Tony Cigno Releases New Article Sharing Why Teeth Itch

Milwaukee area dentist Dr. Tony Cigno discusses the reasons why your teeth might itch.

Greenfield, WI — January 15, 2018 — Wisconsin Dentist Tony Cigno recently published an article titled, “My Teeth Itch—What’s Up?! (Why Teeth Itch Every Now and Then.)"

As Dr. Cigno says, “When teeth itch, the feeling can range from mildly irritating to downright annoying. Furthermore, what makes itchy teeth even more frustrating is that when teeth itch, it often seems like there is little you can do to relieve the itchy feeling.”

Dr. Cigno, Milwaukee area dentist with an office in Greenfield, is a one-stop dentist who not only treats all dental needs of his patients young and old alike. Furthermore, aside from their dental health, he prides himself on focusing on all aspects of his patients’ health and well-being.

Of course, this encompasses not only traditional aspects of health but also some of the less-discussed, but just as common, concerns they might have. One of these is itchy teeth.

When patients first come to Dr. Cigno complaining of itchy teeth, he explains the first thing he does to help them is try to figure out why the teeth are itching.

Dr. Cigno says that one of the more common causes of dental itchiness begins inside the tooth where there might be damage or inflammation of the internal structures. This can often cause a feeling of “itchiness.” Other possible causes include recent dental work and bruxism—or grinding the teeth.
