Milwaukee Wisconsin Dentist Tony Cigno Publishes Article How the Right Pediatric Dental Care Helps ensure Your Kids’ Teeth Stay Healthy

Tony Cigno, Wisconsin family dentist, shares how to make sure your kids and teens get proper pediatric dental care.

Greenfield, WI — June 13, 2016 — Wisconsin Dentist Tony Cigno recently published a new article, “Pediatric Dental Care: Mind Your P’s and Q’s to Ensure Your Kids’ and Teens’ Teeth Stay Healthy!”

In the article, Dr. Cigno starts by pointing out how your parental vigilance and diligence should extend to the dental care of your kids and teens. He then goes on to share some specific areas of pediatric dental care parents sometimes overlook and how to make sure you don’t fall into that trap.

Some of the areas he covers are watching how certain things your kids eat affect their teeth, how the “binky” impacts dental health, how specific medications can be harmful over time, and even the importance of keeping teen boys away from smokeless tobacco.

As Dr. Cigno says, “Many teen boys – especially those who are athletes – seem to think smokeless tobacco products like dip and snuff are not as harmful as other tobacco products you smoke. Yet, this is not the case. Smokeless tobacco still poses the risk of oral cancer and increased cavities. Dip or snuff also increases the likelihood of other head, throat, and sinus cancers too. And this risk is much higher for those who start younger.”

He closes by reminding parents that the main thing to remember is that you are your kids and teens dental guardian and dental health advocate.
